At the height of his career, Young Jeezy was dropping albums once a year for Def Jam and Jay-Z was running the show. Once Jay-Z departed the label, Jeezy saw gaps in his album releases.
Since Jay-Z left the label, Def Jam has gone through a lot of behind the scenes changes that led to Jeezy’s last album being held up three years. Currently, Jeezy has dealt with his new album being delayed for two years. Through social media, Jeezy expressed his disdain for Def Jam.
Jeezy has become the second artist to depart Def Jam this week, following Juelz Santana. However, instead of YMCMB, Jeezy decided to plant his new flag back with Jay-Z.
